Unit 1: Life Lessons from a King
|
Unit Bible Truth: To be in right relationship with God, we must respect, obey, love and serve Him.
Verse-a-Month Club Memory Verse: "What does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul?" (Deuteronomy 10:12).
This unit will help preteens:- Recognize the importance of obeying God
- Identify the things that either strengthen or weaken their relationship with God
- Evaluate choices to see whether they reflect obedience or disobedience to God
- Ask forgiveness for sins and accept Christ as Savior, if they are ready

Unit 2: The Anatomy of Prayer
|
Unit Bible Truth: Jesus' high-priestly prayer reminds us that we can share all our concerns with God.
Verse-a-Month Club Memory Verse: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philipppians 4:6-7).
This unit will help preteens:- Realize that Jesus prayed for himself, His disciples, and for all believersincluding them
- Discover practical ways to develop their communication with God through prayer
- Strengthen their relationship with God through regular prayer

Unit 3: God's Messengers
|
Unit Bible Truth: God's messages through the prophets still aply to us today.
Verse-a-Month Club Memory Verse: "Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you" (Jeremiah 7:23).
This unit will help preteens:- Understand the role and methods of the prophets in proclaiming God's message to His people
- Become acquainted with some of the prophet's messages
- Realize how important the prophets' messgaes are to God's people today
- Seek to obey the prophets' teachings
- Ask God to help them share His messages with others
