The Day of Pentecost

Pentecost Sunday, along with Christmas and Easter, is one of the three most important Sundays on the Christian calendar. The Church celebrates Pentecost Sunday seven weeks (about 50 days) after Easter. The Church's celebration on Pentecost Sunday commemorates the Spirit's descent upon the disciples in the upper room in Jerusalem.
